Cornerstone Sonoma Wedding
It had rained for weeks before this wedding. You expect that maybe it will rain for a February wedding, but this year has just been relentless with the rain, and it was looking like this couple’s wedding day was going to be a wet one. The gardens at Cornerstone Sonoma as seriously stunning, so I was pretty disappointed that we may not get to do portraits out there, and may have to shoot everything indoors. I’d been checking the weather occasionally starting about 10 days ahead, and at one point it even said it might snow (wtf?!) in Sonoma that day.
Well…in the end we seriously lucked out! It poured every day before the wedding, but the day of was gorgeous and sunny. Due to a small chance of rain still, the ceremony did get moved indoors, and we had to change our portrait locations around due to a lot of mud. But I’m so happy that all worked out well, and we still got to do some portraits outside! Cornerstone Sonoma has an amazing backup weather plan, and have a beautiful barn for the ceremony, and can use the Tyge Williams barn right next door as an indoor reception option.
I loved photographing this fun, beautiful, and laidback wedding!
